POWDERLY – Laura Lee Hastings Jones, 93, of Powderly, died Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2:39 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born November 11, 1931 in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of Powderly Baptist Church and was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones; parents, Estle and Fannie Hastings; and sisters, Mary Francis Gossett, Dorothy Milligan, Ruth Elshide, Vivian Whitney, Lillian Roberts, and Lana Vincent.
Survivors include her son, Paul Jones (Janet) of Chicago; three daughters, Karla Lee of Greenville, Teresa Doss (J.D.) of Powderly, and Annette Abshire of Powderly; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Nelda Eaden.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 9, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Kevin Rice officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
