DRAKESBORO – Laura Ann Thomas, 54, of Drakesboro, KY passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on October 23rd, 1971 in Muhlenberg County to the late Dwight Junior Dukes and Elsie Agnes Dukes. She enjoyed going out to eat, sightseeing, and shopping, and was always ready for an outing. She especially enjoyed spending time browsing at the Garden Junkie. Known as the family’s “running around” buddy, she cherished spending time on the go with those she loved, making even the simplest trips special to them.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY, officiated by Dr. Paul Moore. Burial will follow in Emberry Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
She is survived by her husband — Kenneth Thomas;
Sister — Elizabeth Groves;
Brother — Christopher (Christy) Dukes;
Nephew — Shelby (Meghan) Groves;
Great niece — Kyrie Michelle Groves;
Great nephews — Grayson Fleming and Karter O’Brien;
As well as her aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
