CENTRAL CITY – Kevin Lee Nelson, 58, of Central City died Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 5:30 a.m. at his residence. Born June 25, 1965 in Muhlenberg County, he was the previous owner of Jan’s Burger Basket, and he attended The Refuge Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, horse trading, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd, and Carla Nelson; nephew, Christopher Fulton; and niece, Kaitlyn Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Stacey Bratcher Nelson; sons, Jeremy (Whitley) Nelson, Chris (Emily) Lee, Ryan (Katie) Knight, and Colton (Cierra) Knight; and daughter, Alta Geary; fifteen grandchildren; brothers, Terry (Theresa) Nelson, and Jeff (Lisa) Nelson; sister, Angela (Dennis) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
