Kenneth Ray Doss, 88, of Greenville passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Born August 6, 1933 in Powderly, the son of Everett and Sybil Doss he was a teacher and superintendent at Cleaton School. He was a friend of many families and was well known throughout the community for selling Life and Casualty insurance for over 39 years. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was a loyal University of Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Don Doss, son Johnnie Doss, grandson, Matthew Lane Doss and great-granddaughter Claire Ann Jones.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 25th 2022 from Evergreen Cemeteryby Reverend Ron Matheney. Gary’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include sons, Eddie H. Doss of Hendersonville, Tenn., Kenny (Mary Lee) Doss of Greenville and David (Donna) Doss of Greenville, grandchildren, Taylor (Lara) Heidorn, Kara (Eric) Bletzinger, Monica (James) Jones, Kelsey (Ben) Vincent, Katelyn (Matt) Davis and Karson (Kayla) Doss; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Landon Bletzinger, Micah, Levi and Avery Jones, Max, Maverick and Violet Heidorn, Sophia, River and Cullin Davis and Kip and Kam Doss; sister, Martha (Larry) Miller of Bowling Green; brother, W.T. Doss of Greenville; one niece and several nephews; special friends include Becky Waddell, Paula Felty and Ruth Nelson. Special thanks to his hospice nurse Michelle Vincent.
