GREENVILLE – Kathryn “Kathi” Elizabeth Everett, 60, of Central City, died Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 4:30 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born in Greenville December 31, 1964. She was of the Christian faith and a Homemaker. Kathi had an incredible talent for sewing and a passion that she poured into every stitch, turning simple fabric into something beautiful and unique. She got this talent from her mother, Betty Jo, and passed it down to her daughter, Kate. Whether she was crafting a special outfit, adding sparkle to something plain, or making something special out of nothing, her creations were infused with love and care. Kathi was a tough lady and spent more time in and out of a hospital than anyone should, and worked to manage her diabetes during her lifetime. Always by her side was the love of her life, Will, who was her companion and champion in her life for 22 years. She truly loved her family, especially her children Kate and “Joe”, and time spent with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gorman and Betty Jo Phillips; sister, Judith Kay Dukes; father-in-law, Ezra Everett; niece, Carole Embrey Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband, James William “Will” Everett; daughter, Kate Payton of Central City; son, Joseph Vincent of Central City; two grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Phillips, and Danny Phillips; mother-in-law, Loretta Everett; and several nieces and nephews.
