GREENVILLE – Karen W. Arnold, 78, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 4:13 p.m. at her residence. Born in Muhlenberg County December 27, 1945. She was of the Baptist faith, and retired from AON Insurance where she worked as an insurance agent and underwriter. Karen possessed a great sense of humor, and loved to garden, and was especially fond of working with flowers and vegetables. She and her uncle Homer were dedicated baseball fans, and could quote stats for the Cincinnati Reds. She had a special relationship with her nephew Terry Doss, who provided much love and care for her during the later stage of her life. She also shared a wonderful relationship with her grandson Jacob, who she shared a mutual love of riding roller coasters with, which continued well into her 70’s.
he was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Blanch Walton; her brothers, Marion Walton, Bill Walton, Percy Walton Jr., and Allen Walton; and her sisters, Emma Jean Walton, Mary Doss, and Sharon Kirby.
urvivors include her daughter, Jacqueline Conners of Oak Lawn, Ill.; son, James “Jimmy” Arnold of Morgantown; sister, Glenda Sue Reeves; brother Jerry Walton; her four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
