OWENSBORO – Kay “Karen” Loraine Burden, 78, of Owensboro, died Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1:34 a.m. at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owensboro. Born October 27, 1947 in Daviess County. She worked as a Warranty Administrator for George Moore in Jacksonville, Fla. and was also the Owner/Operator of The Greasy Spoon in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Howard; brothers, Louis McCoy, Jr., Michael “Mike” McCoy, and William McCoy, Sr.; and sisters, Teresa Jeffers, Patricia “Patti” Case, Diane Redfern.
Survivors include her son, David Burden; daughters, Michelle Allshouse, and Tina Nixon; 13 grandchildren; brother, George McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Bethel Outreach Ministries in Livermore. Burial will be private. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
