Junior Toomey, 79 of Beech Creek, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville. Born Friday, January 22, 1943, the son of Hobert Toomey and Mildred Williams Toomey, he was a coal miner for the Peabody Coal Company and a member of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by sisters, Wilda Jean Pearson and Rosie Bell Wallace; brothers, Harold Toomey, Jerry Toomey, J.D. Toomey and Raymond Toomey.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Bruce of Indianapolis, Ind. and Jennifer Gill of Hendersonville; sons, Jamie Toomey of Beechmont, David Toomey of Lebanon, Tenn. and Josh Toomey of Auburn; brothers, James Toomey of Olmstead and Lyndell Toomey of Greenville; eight Grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg with Bro. Brad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Toomey Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
