LEWISBURG – Judy Layne Jernigan, 82 of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her residence.
Born Wednesday, September 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Tillie Mitchell and the late Mina Hall Mitchell. She was the wife of the late Lannie Jernigan.
Judy was a housewife. She enjoyed cooking and helping on the farm. She also loved the color red along with her favorite flower being red roses.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Richardson of Oakville, Ky.; son, David Jernigan of Lewisburg; four sisters, Patsy Franklin of Greenville, Betty Dukes of Central City, Wanda Lambert of Greenville, Janie Groves of Depoy; four granddaughters; good friend, Rita Johnson of Russellville.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace Mitchell, Junior Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell; four sisters, Mary Mitchell, Sue Holderman, Louise Whirley, Jeanie Mitchell.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 East Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256, with Bro. Mike Boyd officiating. Interment will be in Elk Lick Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
