Judith Elaine Rocke

GREENVILLE – Judith Elaine Rocke, affectionately known as “Ju Ju,” passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 4:00 a.m., surrounded by the family who loved her so dearly. She was 79 years old.

Judith was born on May 7, 1947, at her family’s home in Powderly, Kentucky, to Cordis and Dixie Crick. >From those humble beginnings came a life centered around family, love, and the people who meant the most to her.

Judith was a devoted mother to her children, Tracy Lewis and Shane Rocke. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren and was blessed to see her family grow another generation through her two great-grandchildren. To them, she was more than a mother or grandmother. She was Ju Ju, a name that carried with it the warmth, comfort, laughter, and love that made her so special.

She is also survived by her sister, Linda Crissman (Joe); her beloved dog, Bentley, who was a treasured companion and brought her so much comfort and joy; along with her extended family and the many people whose lives were made better simply by knowing her.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Cordis and Dixie Crick; her sister, Patti Maddox; and her former husband, Steve Rocke.

A life is not measured simply by the years between a birth and a passing, but by the love given, the memories created, and the pieces of ourselves that we leave behind in others. Judith leaves behind a family who will carry her stories, her love, and her memory with them for the rest of their lives.

There will be an empty place where she once sat, a familiar voice that will be deeply missed, and countless moments when those who loved her will wish they could share just one more conversation, one more laugh, or one more embrace. But there will also be gratitude for the 79 years she was here and for every memory that now becomes something precious to hold onto.

This was our Ju Ju.

She was loved. She was ours. And she will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Judith in a way that reflects the love she leaves behind: perform an act of kindness for someone else in her memory. Help someone who needs it, offer a kind word, give without expecting anything in return, or simply make another person’s day a little brighter.

In doing so, a little piece of Ju Ju’s kindness will continue to move through the world.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
