BEECHMONT – Judith (Judy) Ann Gunterman, 70, of Beechmont, died Friday, March 4, 2022. Born May 8, 1951 in Madisonville, she was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church for over 27 years; she loved her church family.
She was dedicated to her career of over 35 years as a Preschool Teacher and Family Advocate for Audubon Area Head Start serving children and parents all over Muhlenberg County; she was known affectionately by all those who she worked with and taught as Ms. Judy. She loved children and loved them as if they were her own. She enjoyed working with families providing guidance and resources.
She was preceded in death by her husband James “Wig” Gunterman, her brother, Ricky Martin, her mother, Anna Bet Martin, Father, William Harrison Martin.
Survivors include her sons Curtis Michael (Jennifer) Jones of Drakesboro and William Eldred (Tony) Jones of Pleasant View, Tenn.; sister, Nora Mae (Sammy Woods) Wright of Beechmont and Brother James “Buddy” (Charlotte Milligan) Martin of Hanson; grandchildren; Elizabeth Ann Jones and Kaylee Fleming.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Ron Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow in West School House Cemetery in Sacramento. Visitation will be Tuesday March 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Family ask expressions of sympathy be made to the Gideons International in memory of Ms. Gunterman, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
