GREENVILLE – Joyce Evelyn Hendricks, 83, of Greenville, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 10:54 a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born June 15, 1941, in Muhlenberg County. She was a retired cook and clerk at Uncle Lee’s, and a member of Luzerne General Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her long-time friend Sissy, and listening to old country music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Clara Hardison; sisters, Lillian Ball, Glodean Bowen, Mae Dell Cox, and Margie Harper; and brother, James “Buck” Hardison.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hendricks; sister, Faye Whitney (Bill) Ford; and several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Friday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Heartford House. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
