CENTRAL CITY – Joyce Ann Devine, 88, of Central City, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 6:08 p.m. at her residence. Born May 25, 1934 in Muhlenberg County, she was retired from GE, and was a KY Colonel. She was a member of 1st Christian Church. She was a big animal lover (especially her dogs and cats). She also loved gospel music and playing her piano. When she was not immaculately dressed and shopping, you would find her sitting at the kitchen table, sipping coffee and visiting friends, family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jr.” E. Devine, Jr.; sons, Ronald W. Millard and James “Butch” M. Devine; parents, Ted (Helen) Gossett; and sisters, Jacqueline Smith and Teddie McClain.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Brook Millard of Central City and Jaimie Devine of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Addison Skeen of Madisonville, Kaylee Lambert of Central City, Carah Lambert of Central City, and James Burns of Madisonville; brother, Fred (Wanda) Gossett of Madisonville; nephew, Sean (Jennifer) McClain; niece, Bethani Pennington, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden and Mr. Sean McClain officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill.
