GREENVILLE – Joy “Jackie” Mitchell, 91, of Greenville, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11:20 p.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born September 5, 1934 in Greenville. She was a Homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to travel anywhere and everywhere. As long as the car had gas and was running, she was happy. Florida was her favorite destination. She spent a lot of time on the family farm in Bremen, and later she lived on the lake in Dawson Springs. She was outspoken and passionate about the things that mattered the most to her. She enjoyed life and living it to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Malueg; second husband, Carl Mitchell; children, Christopher Malueg, and Christina Malueg; step-daughter, Cindy Rademacher; parents, Elbert and Ora Lee Williams; brother, Leonard Hutter; sisters, Jean Crawford, Phyllis Kelm, and Zetta Ramsey; and grandson, Jon Scott.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Wallace) Slinker; son, Tim (Darla) Malueg; grandchildren, Sabrina Slinker Scott, Scott (Lindsey) Slinker, and Julia Elizabeth Malueg; great-grandchildren, Levi Slinker, and Sawyer Slinker; step-son, Douglas (Kay) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
