BREMEN – John Wayne Hobgood, 75, of Bremen, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born January 27th, 1947, in Muhlenberg County, and was a member of Powers Chapel Church. He was a retired Coal Miner with Sinclair Mines, Hobgood’s Grocery Store Owner, and owned John & Sue’s Family Restaurant in Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Franklin and Mildred Hobgood; brother, Carl Hobgood; and sister, Barbara Settle.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sue Oldham Hobgood; children, Lori (Chaun) Divine, Troy (Jill) Hobgood and Brandon (Amanda) Hobgood all of Bremen; sister, Nadia(Benji) Key; grandchildren, Isaac Hobgood, Cary Divine, Joshua Divine; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Divine, McKenna Divine, Atalie Divine; step-great-grandchildren, Addison Robison, Brooklyn Cavanah, McKynzie Cavanah, Jaxxtyn Lewis.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Kerry Vincent officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
