LIVERMORE – John Henry Whanger, 73, of Livermore, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 6:28P p.m.at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Born September 26, 1951 in Central City. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Whanger; parents, Harry and Katie Whanger; and siblings, Christine Dennison, Nola Pierce, Thomas Whanger, and James “Douglas” Whanger.
Survivors include his daughter, Anessa Whanger Smith; sisters, Wyona Hines, Jane Campfield, Rose Quisenberry, and Barbara Stewart; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Michael Stanley officiating. Burial in Jagoe Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
