DRAKESBORO – John Elvis Ewing, 65, of Drakesboro, died Friday, December 22, 2023, at 12:30 a.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born June 12, 1958, in Logan County, he was a self-employed entrepreneur. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Elizabeth Ewing; son Shawn Ewing; sisters Joanna Ewing, Patricia Knight, and Christine Ewing; and brother James Dean Ewing.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Smith Ewing; children Karen Groves, Timothy Callahan, Jason Ewing, John Ewing, and Adam Ewing; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Patsy Ewing; and brother William Ray Ewing.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Highway Cemetery.
