GREENVILLE – John Charles “Chuck” Cobb, 64, of Greenville, KY passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Greenville, KY on January 20th, 1962, the son of Murel Jewel Cobb and Brenda Jewell Winn Cobb.

He was a 1980 graduate of Greenville High School and went on to earn his degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1984. Following many years of dedicated service, he retired in 2025 from Russellville Castings. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He played baseball and basketball at Greenville High School. He had an appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Murel J. Cobb, grandparents, Tommie and Erma Strader Winn, and Herman and Alice Steele Cobb. 

Funeral services will be held at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Bishop Kenny McCarraher. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Greenville, KY.

He is survived by one daughter — Misty (Doug) Dillinger of Farmersburg, IN;

                            Two grandsons — Ethan and Elijah Dillinger of Farmersburg, IN;

                                         Mother — Brenda J. Cobb of Greenville, KY;

                                    One sister — Marnie (Les) Cobb Broady of Greenville KY:

                                One brother — James “Jim” (Kristy) Cobb of Greenville KY;

                             Two nephews — Ty ***(Bethany Smith) Broady and Will (Taylor) Broady;

       One special great-nephew — Rhett Broady 

       One aunt and serval cousins and ***many friends. 

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, April 12th 2026 at Gary’s Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time of service at 3:00 PM.
