DUNMOR – Joda Hankins of Dunmor entered into rest Thursday, April 3rd at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born June 26,1938 in Dunmor to John and Irene (Audas) Hankins.
Joda worked and retired from Super Value in Greenville. However his true calling was tending to his cattle, working his farm, and driving his team of mules. A member of the Dunmor Lion’s Club, he was an honest, hard working man who would help anyone in need. Joda was of Baptist faith and will be truly missed by the ones who loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Eula Dell (Ramage) Hankins of 64 years; two daughters, Debbie (Scott) Bibb of Springfield Tenn. and Kim (Mike) Smith of Lewisburg; son, Jeff Hankins of Dunmor. He is preceded in death by son, Mike Hunt of Fla., and 4 siblings. He was a grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 19 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 7th at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg at 2 p.m. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. for immediate family only and 10-2 for the public until time of the funeral service. Internment will be at Dunmor Cemetery.
