GREENVILLE — Jimmy Pascal Garrett, 83, of Greenville passed away on Tuesday February 17th, 2026 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green KY. He was born in Greenville KY on November 4th, 1942 in Muhlenberg County, the son of the late Charlie Garrett and Elizabeth Martin. In 1971, he moved from Chicago Illinois and began working at Don Peable Stables as a horse trainer and riding instructor. In 1972 he began working with Nat J Enterprise in construction before dedicating many years of service as a diesel mechanic in the coal mines from 1974 to 2004. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years, Brenda Faye Garrett, two brothers, Tom Garrett and Ben Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20th, at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. John Butch Day officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Creek Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
He is survived by three children — Danny Garrett, Theresa Garrett, and Brian (Veronica) Garrett
grandchildren — Savannah (Chris) Garrett, Sawyer (Marisa) Garrett, Cory Price, Erin Gibson, Emma Gibson, Brian Garrett Jr., and Bianca Garrett.
Great-grandchildren—Brady, Raylee, Annabelle, Tanner, Hadley, and Cade
Sister — Irene Luckett
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20th, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
