CENTRAL CITY – Jimmie Howard “Blue Gill” Vincent, 77, of Central City, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at 6:29 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1946, in Muhlenberg County, he was a self-employed masonry worker. He was preceded in death by his parents Finis and Gracie Shanks Vincent; daughter Teresa Gail Pharis; sisters Geneva Kyle and Nellodean Evans; and brother Robert Vincent.
He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna L. “Snookie” Fulkerson Vincent, who subsequently died on December 21, 2023.
He is also survived by his children, Jeff Vincent, Jimmy Vincent, Jr., and Dianne Whitmer; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; son-in-law Estil Pharis; sister Connie Herrin; and several nieces and nephews.
Joint funeral services for Jimmie and Anna Vincent will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Mike Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Joint visitation will be Friday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
