SACRAMENTO – Jessie Jo Whitmer, 78, of Sacramento, died Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 5:15 p.m. at her residence. Born August 19, 1945 in Madisonville. She was a retired Sewing Machine Operator for Carhart Midwest and a member of Powers Chapel General Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family, working in her back yard, fishing, and ginseng hunting with her husband, Bud. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and games shows. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Florene Miller.
Survivors include her husband, Roy A. “Bud” Whitmer; son, David (Lisa) Whitmer; daughter, Mary (Wade) Capps; and grandchildren, Andrew Capps, Brandi (Josh) Piper, Shanda (Trevor) Capps, Chase Capps, Jessie Whitmer, and Kaleb (Jayce) Whitmer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 2PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
