CENTRAL CITY – Jeremy Chaney Doss, 55, of Central City, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born November 23, 1970, to Edwin Eugene and Wanda Chaney Doss.
Jeremy was a proud graduate of Muhlenberg North High School and participated for many years in the Special Olympics. He worked briefly at the Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center before becoming a cherished part of his family’s restaurant, Chaney’s Bar-B-Que, where he was known as the best bus boy anyone could ask for. Jeremy loved his work at Chaney’s and brought joy and smiles to everyone around him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Terry Doss; and his grandparents, Arthur and Lorene Chaney, Virgil Doss, and Pauline Doss Wheatley.
Survivors include his brother, Art Doss; sister-in-law, Linda Randolph; niece, Terri (Aaron) Owens; nephew, Jon (Angie) Doss; great-nieces, Addison and Taylor Owens; great-nephews, Sam and Elliot Doss; great-great-niece, Emersyn Larson; and many loving cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Matt Adams officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
