Jefferson Hanson Stanley, 84, of White Plains died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville. Born August 28, 1937, in Nortonville, the son of Johnny B. Stanley and Lillie Beth Keith Stanley. He was of the Baptist faith and was a coal miner and a farmer all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years Martha Ann Wagoner Stanley in 2013, two daughters Judy Jenkins and Patricia Gamble, a son Larry Stanley, six brothers David, Duck, Tub, Alfred, Charlie, and Johnny “Chip” Stanley, and a sister Georgia Myers.
Survivors include sons, Jeff Stanley, Bruce Stanley, Mike Stanley and Jimmy Stanley all of White Plains; daughter, Kathy Drake of Rochester; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Stanley of Graham, and Glen Gary “Pig” Stanley of Nortonville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Charlie Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Cemetery in White Plains. Visitation will be Thursday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY.
