GREENVILLE – James Grant Brown, 85, of Greenville, died Friday, February 14, 2025 at his residence in Greenville. Born April 22, 1939 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the U.S. Army as a Command Sergeant Major. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Katie Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joetta Coombs Brown; children, Joseph DeWayne (Kathleen) Brown, and Jeffrey Grant (Melissa) Brown; grandchildren, Thomas Brown, and Harrison Brown, Gabrielle Brown, and Jackson Brown; special nephew, Morton Lee (Susie) Locke; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2 p.m. at KY Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
