Bowling Green – James Franklin Vaught, 73, of Bowling Green, died Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:05p.m. at Hospice House in Bowling Green. Mr. Vaught was born March 30, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. James was always a hardworking man; he was a retired maintenance worker for Staybridge Suites, worked for Phoenix Metals for 25 years, and was also employed at Dunlap RV for seven and a half years. He was a member for the Open Door Baptist Church in Georgia, and like a true man of God had a servant’s heart, helping others in any way he could, especially as a handyman for anything that needed fixing. James was preceded in death by his darling wife, Barbara Vaught; his parents, William “Bill” and Freda Vaught; and his grandparents, Rosco and Stella Vaught.
He is survived by his daughters, Denise Walker, Dennetta (Joe) Lombardo, and Brandie Shea (Eric) Ayala; his brother, Buddy Vaught; his sisters, Connie Vaught, Janice Nemcek, Teresa Brand, Alisa Chambers, and Kathy Green; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Travis, Erin, Blake, Christopher, Brittanie, Rosa, and Jonah; a great grandchild, Mason; and a beloved companion cat, Max.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Ricky Autry officiating. Burial in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
