CENTRAL CITY – James Clarence Staples, 69, of Central City, died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 9:52 a.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Born August 20, 1955 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Cleaton Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Walmart. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Staples; and sister, Judith Wilkins.
Survivors include his mother, Bea Staples; brother, Freddie Staples; brother-in-law, Phil Wilkins; nephew, Mark Wilkins; nieces, Susan Price, and Jennifer Stevens; and cousins, Doris Dukes, and Joy Dozer.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Brian Jones officiating, assisted by Bro. Todd Cartwright. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
