CENTRAL CITY – Ida Nell Duncan, 80, of Central City, died Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:10 a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born February 12, 1945, in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of South Carrollton United Methodist Church, and was a seamstress at Cowden’s Sewing Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Varna Duncan, Sr.; parents, Earl and Lula Nelson; sisters, Ruth Ann Renfrow and Regina Kittinger; and brothers, Ray Neal Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and William Earl Nelson.
Survivors include her sons, Les (Lisa) Duncan, James “Bo” Duncan, and Varna (Stephanie) Duncan, Jr.; grandchildren, James Duncan, Jr., Cody (Destry) Bolinger, Dustin Bolinger, Steven Duncan, Stetson Duncan, Sara Duncan, Christopher Duncan, and Makayla Duncan; great-grandchildren, Presley Bolinger and Laney Bolinger; and sister, Susie Nelson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Mike Neal officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to a Humane Society of your choice.
