OWENSBORO – Herschel Lee Brown, 83, of Owensboro, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:10 p.m. at Maple Health and Rehab. in Greenville. Born March 12, 1941 in Owensboro. He was of the Christian faith, attended Luzerne General Baptist Church, worked as a carpenter, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved the 3 C’s: coffee, cigarettes, and chocolate. His passion was Bingo, cards, and pool. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Randolph Brown; and parents, Clarence and Francis Brown.
Survivors include his four children, William Brown, Debbie Evitts, Tony Brown, and Dusty Brown; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Highway Cemetery in Drakesboro. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
