CENTRAL CITY – Herbert Ray O’Bannon, 88, of Central City died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Born Jun 18, 1933 in Muhlenberg County, he was a foreman and lineman for William G. Groves Line Construction and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Jonell O’Bannon; parents Dan and Margie O’Bannon; brothers Daniel, James and Larry O’Bannon; sisters Margaret Simmons, Wanda Bolton, Linda Hafley.
Survivors include his daughters Phyllis (Roy) Havener, Janice (Rondal) Dockery, Margie (Joe) Nelson; grandchildren Roy Havener, Tashara Lively, Jessica Bruggeman, Julie Nelson and Ruthann Nelson; great-grandchildren Liam Havener, Mackenzie Lively, Amelia Bruggeman; sisters Betty Jo Hafley and Brenda Barfield.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro Kevin Dunn and Aaron Devine officiating. Burial will be private.
