DRAKESBORO – Helen Levon Sullivan, 89, of Drakesboro, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was born in Todd County, KY on October 11th, 1936, the daughter of the late Arthur McGehee and Annie Belle Carneal McGehee. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She cherished spending time with her family and her church family, who meant the world to her. Her greatest purpose in life was to see her loved ones come to know the Lord, and she devoted herself to making sure they were saved. Her love, faith, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Sullivan, one son, Daniel Clelvas Sullivan, four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY on Monday, May 11th, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating and Rev. Jeremy Whitney assisting. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Sharon Grove, KY.
She is survived by two daughters — Diane (Robert) Garrett of Dunmor, KY
Patty (Leland) Garrett of Dunmor, KY
One son — Donnie (Chris) Sullivan of Belton, KY
Six grandchildren
Seven great grandchildren
Five great-great grandchildren
Two brothers — Billy (Hattie) McGehee of Portage, IN
Gene (Joan) McGehee of Greenville, KY
One sister — Louise Carver of Rosewood, KY
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, May 11th, 2026 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY from 11:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.
