SACRAMENTO – Helen Joan Emery, 88, of Sacramento, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 9:20 a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Born June 26, 1935, in Sacramento, she was a retired inspector for General Electric in Madisonville, and a member of Station Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marlo and Geneva Hickerson; husband, Gerald Emery; son, Gregory Gish; step-son, Gary Emery; and brothers, Charles Hickerson and James Hickerson.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Gish of Tennessee and Dennis Gish of Owensboro; daughter, Lisa Boisture of Sacramento; step-daughters, Janet Page of Madisonville and Brenda McLaughlin; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Station Baptist Church in Sacramento, with Rev. Dan Yeager officiating.  Burial will follow in Sacramento Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento and Monday after 10:00 a.m. at Station Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
