OWENSBORO – Hassel Turner Tutt, 77, of Owensboro, born April 10, 1947, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Wellington Parc Health System, Inc. in Owensboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellous Tutt, Jr. and Margaret Wells Tutt; three brothers, Oliver Wendell Tutt, Sylvester L. Tutt and Henry F. Tutt.
Mr. Tutt was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Owensboro, retired from United Mine Workers of America, and served proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
His past time revolved around hunting, listening to music and watching Westerns.
Survivors include: one son, Hassel T. Tutt, Jr., Greenville; two daughters, Nicole Tutt, and Raven Tutt both of Louisville; several grandchildren; three sisters, Martyne Tutt Sayres, Greenville, Gwenetta Tutt Murphy, Greenville and Mary Tutt (James) Finch, Russellville; a loving companion, Sue Frierson, Owensboro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services are Friday, 12 Noon, October 18, 2024 , at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 507 Plum Street, Owensboro, with visitation from 11:00-12:00 until time of service. Burial in Reynolds Cemetery, Greenville. Rev. Jeremiah L. Parks, Officiating.
