BREMEN- Glenna “Ma” Yewell, 96, of Bremen died Friday, July 11, 2025 at Signature Healthcare Hillcrest in Owensboro. Born in McLean County June 16, 1929. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved to sew quilts and afghans and was passionate about gardening. She had a beautiful touch in her flowers. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Russell Yewell; parents, Birch and Ruth Clark; sisters, Mary Shacklett, Alice Greenup; son in law, Mike Zangara.
Survivors include her son, Tom Yewell of Owensboro; daughters, Linda Yewell of Louisville, Carol Zangara of St. Louis; one grandchild; four legged companion, Snoopie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Brantley officiating and Rev. Gary Ball assisting. Burial will follow in the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church.
