CENTRAL CITY – Glenn Howard McElvain, 75, of Central City, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Signature HealthCare in Hartford. Born in Chicago, Ill. on February 2, 1949. He was of the Baptist faith, and worked as a Laborer for Perdue Farms. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard work, and hanging out at Jan’s restaurant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa McElvain; parents, Howard and Nadine McElvain; brothers, Gerald McElvain, and Butch McElvain; and sister, Willa Dean McElvain.
Survivors include his two sons, Glenn (Amy) McElvain, and Wayne (Allison) McElvain; four grandchildren, Katelyn (Dylan) Lacefield, Kasey (Hunter) Beatty, Chance McElvain, and Cooper McElvain; great-grandchildren, Weston, and Wrenleigh; brother, Raymond McElvain; and sisters, Donna McElvain, and Shirley Groves.
Funeral services will be Wednesday October 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Steve McElvain officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
