Gerald Wayne McIntosh, 74, of Greenville, died Sunday, May 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving children at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born April 8, 1947, in Greenville, the son of the late Ray McIntosh and Lydia Crick McIntosh. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked in coal mines, and he was also a farmer and a logger. He was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church in Tyewhoppity. He loved his family, was a huge UK basketball fan and Cardinals’ baseball fan, and was an avid fisherman.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 21 at 12:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. Shane Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Grove Cemetery in Greenville.
Survivors include his children, Jamie (Katy) McIntosh of Owensboro, Dannielle (David Marc) Gillon of Greenville and Ethan (Tiffany) McIntosh of Greenville; grandchildren, Mia Elizabeth McIntosh, William Joseph Gillon, Wyatt James Gillon, Shelby Jolene Gillon, Jayden Wayne McIntosh, Cooper Atlas McIntosh; brothers, David McIntosh of Greenville, Darrell (Anita) McIntosh, Greenville, Euvia (Evelyn) McIntosh of Greenville, Eual (Linda) McIntosh of Benton and Thelbert (Jo Ann) McIntosh of Seymour, Ind.; sisters, Kathleen Willis of Greenville and Nevaline Johnson of Greenville.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 20 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net
