Greenville – Gerald Dean Wells, III, 40, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at his residence in White Plains. Born February 26, 1983, in Greenville. He attended St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, Central City, KY and was employed by Sonic in Greenville, KY. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce (Grango) Gordon, Willie Mae ( Granny Mae) Ellis, Gerald Dean Wells, Sr. and Judy Wells.
Survivors include his father Min. Paul Wells of Central City; Mother Cherie Murdock of Arlington, Texas; two sons Grayson Howel of Bremen, and Gabriel Dean Wells of Powderly; one daughter, Sharaylynn Wells of Mansfield, Ohio; five brothers, Xavier Wells of Central City, Kevin Murdock of Arlington, Texas, Omarrion Wells of Central City, Orry Reese of Central City and Brian Jagoe of Browder; five sisters, Morgan Wells of Central City, Sade El-Amin of Lexington, Chelsea Murdock of Arlington, Texas, Paige Wells of Hopkinsville, and Alleesha Reed of Hopkinsville; several aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews, several cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 411 N. 1st Street, Central City. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery in Greenville, with Pastor Otis L. Cunningham, Sr., Officiating and Pastor Donnie Thomas, Eulogist.
