BELTON – Freda Mae Dukes
Covington, 78, formerly of Belton (Myers Chapel) and later
Springfield, Tenn. died at 2:24 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025 at her
residence. Born May 4, 1947 at her home in Muhlenberg
County. She was a Homemaker and loved to quilt. She enjoyed her
grandchildren and loved to plant flowers and work in her flowerbeds. She
was a member of Myers Chapel Church, beside where she lived for 50
years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Randel
Covington; her parents, Nora Mae and Herman Dukes; her sister, Anna Sue
(James) Eaves; brother, Joe Dukes; daughter-in-law, Elva Covington; and
son-in-law, Donnie Lee.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Lee; son, Michael (Elizabeth)
Covington; brother, Darrell Wayne (Patricia) Dukes; and grandchildren,
Whisper Lee, Donavan Covington, Estevan Covington, Wesley Covington,
Elijah Covington, and Ethan Covington.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Tucker Funeral
Home in Central City with Bro. Johnny Norton officiating, assisted by
Bro. Bob Kirby. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday
