CENTRAL CITY – Frances “Fran” Jewell Moore, 82, of Central City, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 1:15 a.m. at her residence after a short illness. Born April 6, 1943, in Bevier. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Frances loved the Lord, being a wife, mom, and being “Mamaw Fran”. Fran loved reading the Bible, gospel music, and family time, which includes children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She made many cherished friends at The Courtyard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Wendell Ray Moore; sons, Timothy R. Moore and Greg A. Moore; and parents, Holbert Coleman and Gladys Elizabeth Rager.
Survivors include her daughters, Pamela L. (Greg) Rice of Greenville and Tammy D. Moore of Central City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Rager of Bevier; sister, Judy Bellamy of Drakesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Bro. Ron Metheney.
