Finis Xavier Pendley, Jr., 65, of Central City, was called to his Heavenly home on Thursday, November 25, 2021 in the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born July 26, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg Central High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired truck driver with Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony Scott Pendley, his parents Finis and Ruby Pendley, and two sisters Patty Bruce and Dianne Austin.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Pendley; son, Finis “Dewayne” Pendley; granddaughter, Allison Pendley; brother, Lee Pendley; sister, Nelda Johnson; step-son, Cole Greenwalt; step-daughters, Cassie Greenwalt and Stacy Pendley; step-granddaughter, Harley Smith; step-grandson, Matt Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held Sunday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, with Rev. Winslow Stovall officiating. Burial followed in Rosehill Cemetery in Central City.
