Euvia Mari McIntosh

GREENVILLE – Euvia Marl McIntosh, 90, of Greenville passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky.  Born September 11,1934 in Muhlenberg County to Ray and Lydia McIntosh and was a member and former elder of the Greenville Church of Christ.   

He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He owned & operated McIntosh and Boggess Timber Company along with his cousin Clive Boggess for over 25 years, cutting timber throughout the surrounding area from the late 1950s through 1986.  He loved farming and was an avid quail hunter and woodworker.  After retiring from the timber business he enjoyed playing golf with many friends and buddies at Twin Oaks in Greenville and the Central City Country Club.

Survivors include two sons, Larry McIntosh of Greenville and Jerry (Cindy) McIntosh of Mayfield along with brothers Darrell & David McIntosh of Greenville, Eual McIntosh of Benton, Ky., Thelbert McIntosh of Seymour, Ind., and sister Kathleen Willis of Greenville.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald McIntosh and sister Nevaline Johnson, both of Greenville. He had two grandchildren, Katie (Kane) McCord of Mayfield and Ashley McIntosh of Nashville, Tenn., along with a great grandson Baker McCord and step great grandson Carson Knudsen.  He also had two step grandchildren, Tori Davenport of Sacramento and Sarah Knudsen of Fort Irwin, Calif.. 

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marcia Evelyn McIntosh.   

Funeral services for Mr. McIntosh will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Byron Groves and Paul Moore officiating.  Friends are invited to call from 10:00 a.m. up until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.   Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Powderly, Kentucky.   

The McIntosh family would like to extend a special note of thanks to the staff and caregivers at the West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky, for the loving care provided over the past 9 months.  

Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
