BELTON – Edwin Mitchel Free, 76, of Belton, died on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 8:32AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Mr. Free was born in Muhlenberg County on January 17, 1950. He attended Mud River Union General Baptist Church and worked as a Millwright. He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lorene Free.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Allen Free; son, Aaron Free; step-children, Linda (David) DeArmond, Dana (Scott) Decker, and Michelle (Jerry) Wells; brother, Kelly (Alicia) Free; nephew, Andrew (Sarah) Free; niece, Rachel Free; and many loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Allen officiating, assisted by Bro. Ricky Peterson. Burial in Mud River Union Cemetery.
