GREENVILLE—Edward Lynn “Eddie” Webster, 71, of Greenville, passed away surrounded by his family Monday, April 21st in Owensboro. Born in Muhlenberg County August 16, 1953, the son of Carlos Edward Webster and Nella Joyce Boggess Webster. He enjoyed team roping, training and riding horses, in which he was very skilled at. In his later years he enjoyed drag racing. He was of the Christian faith and worked as a coal miner, as a face boss. He was a proud Army Veteran.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville officiated by Rev. Greg Brooks. Burial will follow in Webster Cemetery in Butler County.
He was a loving father to two sons, Tyler Webster of Graham and Magnum (Sarah) Webster of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Abigail Webster, Kynadi Webster, Jescey Hardin, Jace Gray; one brother, Linvell (Connie) Webster of Greenville; two sisters, Elaine (Mike) Cary of Greenville and Rene (Jerry) Brewer of Iron City, Tenn.; his sweet dog—-Honey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Although Eddie is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
