DRAKESBORO – Edna Murl Allen, 87, of Drakesboro, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Maple Health and Rehabilitation. Born July 15, 1934, in Muhlenberg County, she was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and was a licensed practical nurse at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Allen, Sr.; siblings, D.H. Barrow, Hular Barrow, Jr., Anna May Brown, Wilda Mann, and Jerouline Williams.
Survivors include her son, Bobby (Paulette) Allen, Jr. of Drakesboro; daughter, Deretha (John) Omiotek of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; grandchildren, Lauren (Clint) Cron of Elizabethtown, Devonne (Joshua) Stirsman of Bremen, and Lisa Wright of Louisville; and great-grandchildren, Dawson Cron, Joshua Cron, Hailey Cron, and Isaiah Stirsman.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery.
