WHITE PLAINS – Edna Marie Scott, 79, of White Plains, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her home. Born August 7, 1942, in Henderson County. She worked at Cobbs Cap Board Mill. She was preceded in death by her first husband, M.C. Cobb; second husband, David Kemble; sons Melvin Cobb and Bruce Cobb; daughter Loretta Cobb; and grandchildren Ronnie Stanley Jr. and April Cobb.
Survivors include her husband, William E. “Buddy” Scott; daughters Jeanette Stanley, Beverly Steele, Larlee Linville, Ginger Putman, Beverly Spears, Candy Schultz, and Julia Camplin; son Paul Scott; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers Darrell Massey and Tracy Massey.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Floyd Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Yeargins Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone in attendance wear a face mask.
