GREENVILLE – Edgar “Eddie” Sterling Richey, 79, of Greenville, died Monday, October 7 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born in Greenville October 23, 1944, the only child of the late Chester Edgar Richey and Essie Jane Crick Richey. He had worked for Lester Motors in Central City for 20 years, and after his retirement, he was a handyman and did odd jobs for many people in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, officiated by Rev. Tom Stovall. Burial will follow in Carter Creek Cemetery in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Mayes Richey of Greenville; one son, Steve (Bridget) Richey of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Murphy, four great grandchildren—Jackson, Meredith, Brooke, Finnegan;
