GREENVILLE – Duane Lavern Pethtel, 81, of Greenville, died Monday, September 16, 2024 at his residence in Greenville. Born October 23, 1942 in Il. He was a Welder/Miner and a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church since 1978. He was a veteran for the U.S. Army, serving from 1967-1969. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Pethtel; mother, Nina York; sister, Gayla; brothers, Wilford, Dick, Thomas, and Rick; first wife, Barbara; second wife, Eldogene; and third wife, Brenda.
Survivors include his son, Michael Pethtel; stepson, Johnny Brown; stepdaughter, Donna Brown; and two brothers, Dwight Pethtel, and Craig York.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Palestine, Ill. with David Anderson officiating. Burial to follow. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
