GREENVILLE- Dorothy Nell Rice, 85, of Greenville passed away Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at her residence. Born in Muhlenberg County May 25th, 1939, the daughter of Zadock Travis and Nervie Dukes Travis. She was a member of Life and Praise Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years Eual T. Rice, one daughter Vickie Lynn Knight, two grandchildren Eric Bivins and Amy Beth Rice, and she was the last of 16 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 1st, at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, conducted by Rev. Steve Hibbs assisted by Dr. John Gaylen. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly.
Survivors include her four daughters, Kathy Bivins of Greenville, Marsha Epley of Greenville, Kim (Mark) Hardison of Greenville and Angela Kelly of Central City; one son Scotty Rice of Greenville; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
