GREENVILLE – Doris Scott passed away on August 14, 2026 at Owensboro Regional Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1965 in Greenville to the late Calvin and Pauline Mayes Reeves.
Doris worked for Wal-Mart for many years and was a care giver in her later years. She was a member of Vernal Grove Baptist Church. She loved to fish and taking care of her grandbabies, even sometimes at the same time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Caroll Scott; her sister Wanda O’Neal; her niece and nephew, Angel and Jimmy Jones.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Vernal Grove Cemetery in Greenville, KY by Bro. Jerry Eades.
She is survived by her son, Chad Scott; son, Cody Scott; granddaughter, Luella Pearl Scott; grandson, Layne Scott; granddaughter Alexxis Jones; grandson, Christian Jones; brother, Joe (Sue) Reeves; and brother, Marion “Peanut” (Susan) Reeves.
There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward funeral expenses in care of Gary’s Funeral Home.
