BREMEN – Doris Jean Jarvis, 87, of Bremen went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 26, 2024. Born December 22, 1936, in Echols, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Jarvis was an active member of New Harmony Baptist Church for over 60 years, always willing to serve her Lord and church as needed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Always active and involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Nothing made her happier than having all her family together. Preceded in death by her husband, Horace Wayne Jarvis; sister Sue Dukes; parents, William Carlos Hockenberry and Florence Saling Hockenberry. The family would like to thank the staff at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital Long-term Care Unit for their loving and dedicated care of Mrs. Jarvis.
Survivors include her children Steve (Penny) Jarvis, and Cyndi (James) Rose; grandchildren Cody, Kasey, Dalton (Jessie), and Miranda; great-grandchildren Ava, Conner, Kailey, Summer, Hank and Charlie.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Yeager officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
